The Eclipse Visual Editor contains a framework for creating tools to create Graphical User Interface for Java programs (GUI builder). As examples, it contains tools to visually create Swing/JFC from Sun, and for SWT (the GUI toolkit used by Eclipse).

Requirements and limitations

• Beta release - We have not yet fully tested this plugin. Please report a bug for any problem you encounter. We welcome your feedback (positive and negative!) in the forums, mailing lists and bug trackers.


• This plugin does not run on MacOS.


• This plugin will run with any distribution of EasyEclipse.


• It may also work with a standard installation of Eclipse 3.1.2, if you include the Eclipse Tools plugin . We have not tested it, though.
